(BALDWIN, N.Y.) – In commemoration of February as American Heart Month, Nassau County Legislator Debra Mulé (D – Freeport) partnered with the Baldwin Fire Department to host a successful blood drive on Wednesday, Feb. 21.
Legislator Mulé was among the dozens of residents who “gave from the heart” and rolled up their sleeves to do their part to address a major nationwide blood shortage.
“Whether you donated blood, volunteered at the event, or helped to spread the word, your efforts went a long way toward ensuring that we can continue to meet the ongoing demand for blood and serve those who rely on these vital donations,” Legislator Mulé said. “Every pint of blood collected is a lifeline for a patient in need, and the willingness demonstrated by our supporters speaks volumes about the character of the greater Baldwin community!”
