(UNIONDALE, N.Y) – Nassau County Legislator Debra Mulé joined leaders in law enforcement and her colleagues in government at the David S. Mack Center for Training and Intelligence on Monday, Sept. 9 to celebrate the graduation of Correction Officer Recruit Class No. 112.
The 16-member graduating class, which includes local residents Kevin Canham of Baldwin, a Freeport Fire Department volunteer; and David Ramsingh and Devatori St. Louis of Freeport, completed 12 weeks of intense training prior to Monday’s ceremony.
“By working so diligently behind the scenes, corrections officers make a tremendous daily contribution to preserving our quality of life and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the Nassau County Jail,” Legislator Mulé said. “I know how hard the young men and women in this graduating class worked to achieve this milestone, and I wish them tremendous success as they pursue their careers in a form of public service that is far too often underappreciated.”
