(ROOSEVELT, N.Y.) – In recognition of March as Women’s History Month, Nassau County Legislator Debra Mulé (D – Freeport) joined the Roosevelt community at their 18th annual women’s tea celebration on Saturday, March 23. During the event at the Roosevelt Public Library, Legislator Mulé presented Nassau County Legislature Citations to honorees Dr. Barbara Solomon, Pamela Williams, Virginia Gonzalez and Stacey Harley-Jackson for their leadership as an educator, fire commissioner, construction owner and healthcare professional respectively.
“This wonderful event gives us all a chance to appreciate the impact that extraordinary women make on a daily basis through their leadership and advocacy,” Legislator Mulé said. “It was a pleasure to join the community in celebrating an outstanding group of women who contribute so greatly to the betterment of Roosevelt and all of Nassau County.”
