(BALDWIN, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Debra Mulé (D – Freeport) joined her colleagues at Baldwin Middle School to celebrate the grand opening of the school’s wellness center on Thursday, March 21.
Launched in partnership with PM Pediatric Care, the Wellness Center provides immediate access to behavioral health care and resources dedicated to mental wellness for students from elementary through high school, with convenient and flexible hours during and after school.
“Through this approach, the Baldwin School District is acting boldly to support the mental health and wellness of its students so that they have every opportunity to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally,” Legislator Mulé said. “As a social worker, the health and safety of our young people is of paramount importance, and I applaud the school district and PM Pediatric Care for creating a resource that will help students navigate the daily challenges they face in the world.”
