WHAT: To get the pulse of the residents of the newly reapportioned Sixth Legislative District, Nassau County Legislator Debra Mulé (D – Freeport) is hosting a series of town hall meetings, starting with two community gatherings in Oceanside and Roosevelt.
Legislator Mulé is scheduled to be at the Oceanside School District’s Kindergarten Center (School #6) in Oceanside at 7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 29. She will be accompanied by a Problem Oriented Policing” (POP) officer, who will present a community safety update. The following day, at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 30, Legislator Mulé will host a community forum at the Roosevelt Public Library, 27 W. Fulton Avenue, Roosevelt N.Y. 11575.
During both meetings, Legislator Mulé will provide updates on important County projects impacting each respective community and open the floor and open the floor to residents to share their questions, concerns, and visions for future community initiatives.
“Redistricting has changed the boundaries of the district, and it is important for everyone to know that I am listening and immersing myself in the issues that matter most to the people I serve,” Legislator Mulé said. “I am excited for these town hall meetings, and I am looking forward to hearing what’s on my constituents’ minds so that I can apply it toward my work as your advocate at the Legislature.”
