(HEMPSTEAD, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislature Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Debra Mulé (D – Freeport) joined the members and leaders of The Corridor Counts at their weekly meeting on Thursday, April 3.
During her visit, Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Mulé updated members of The Corridor Counts on key County issues, including the status of the capital infrastructure plan, which is being held up by County Executive Bruce Blakeman’s ongoing refusal to fund first responder grants in Democratic-represented districts.
The Corridor Counts, Inc. (TCC) is an intergenerational coalition of community advocates, public servants and professionals who share a determination to address the pressing needs of communities of color in Nassau County, including Hempstead, Roosevelt, Uniondale, Freeport, Lakeview, and New Cassel.
“As the elected representative for several of Nassau County’s largest majority minority communities, I value any opportunity to expand my perspective and hear directly from community leaders about how I can best serve them in the Legislature,” Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Mulé said. “It is always a pleasure to speak with The Corridor Counts and I thank founder Fred Brewington for extending an invitation to speak with the members of this dynamic organization.”
