(PLAINVIEW, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislature Deputy Minority Leader Arnold W. Drucker (D - Plainview) is partnering with Northwell Glen Cove Hospital; Terri Miller, PT, Ph. D and Arthur Miller, DDS Prosthodontist of Dix Hills; Jaspan Schlesinger Nardendran LLP; Family Bagels; Minuteman Press Syosset; the Northwell Health Rehabilitation Network, Deb & Peter Segaloff, Robin and Jonathan Eiseman, One Bag for All Feeldom, the Plainview Water District, the Mid Island Y JCC, NY Braces, the Mensch Family, All Island Speech and Stuttering, Emily Raphael – the Tutor Mom, Hercules Fence, urSwim and Northwell Health STARS Rehabilitation to host the fourth annual “Rally for Rebecca” 5K run-walk-roll.
The event is a fundraiser for Plainview resident Rebecca Koltun, a promising and talented young lady whose life abruptly and tragically changed after she was paralyzed from the neck down in a ski accident. All proceeds from the event will help offset medical and living expenses not covered by Rebecca’s insurance or Medicaid.
“Since the time that Rebecca was tragically injured, she has impressed and inspired all of us time and again with her determination, her relentless drive and her positive spirit in the face of adversity,” Deputy Minority Leader Drucker said. “We are all tremendously gratified by the outpouring of support for Rebecca, and I encourage everyone to join us in continuing to support Rebecca in her journey.”
