(JERICHO, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislature Deputy Minority Leader Arnold W. Drucker (D – Plainview) is encouraging residents to support Jericho Cares as the not-for-profit, philanthropic network of residents that provide support for local families in need seeks to restock its food pantry.
In a Wednesday, Feb. 19 social media post, the not-for-profit organization said it is especially seeking donations of oatmeal, jelly, chili, instant mashed potatoes, one-pound bags of rice, apple sauce, canned fruits and tomato sauce.
“While the holiday season often sparks a rush of donations to local food pantries and organizations that combat food insecurity, we must never lose sight of the fact that hunger impacts families in our community all year long,” Deputy Minority Leader Drucker said. “If you are in a position to give, I urge you to support Jericho Cares and its admirable mission of service that continues to uplift families throughout our region.
