Statement from Drucker on Arrest of Suspects in Antisemitic Vandalism at Shelter Rock Jewish Center

(SEARINGTOWN, N.Y.) - On Tuesday, Oct. 15, Nassau County Police announced the arrest of 18- and 14-year-old suspects related to allegations that they vandalized a “We Stand With Israel” sign outside the Shelter Rock Jewish Center on Monday, Oct. 14. 

Following today’s announcement, Nassau County Legislature Deputy Minority Leader Arnold W. Drucker (D – Plainview) issued the following statement:

“As antisemitism soars to new and frightening levels around the world, it is more essential than ever to combat this pernicious scourge wherever and whenever it surfaces,” Nassau County Legislature Deputy Minority Leader Arnold W. Drucker (D – Plainview) said. “The Nassau County Police Department’s tireless efforts continue to bring us comfort and security at this fraught time, and I am grateful that their vigilance and professionalism empowers Nassau residents of all faiths to live, work, and worship freely and safely.”
