(SYOSSET, N.Y.) – The following is a statement from Nassau County Legislature Deputy Minority Leader Arnold W. Drucker (D – Plainview) –
“Throughout the year, thousands of children and their families spend their mornings and afternoons at Stillwell Field, participating in and watching an array of sports like little league baseball, flag football, and more,” Nassau County Legislature Deputy Minority Leader Arnold W. Drucker (D – Plainview) said.
“Cognizant of the needs generated by its popularity in the Syosset community, the Democratic Minority has worked since 2019 to deliver $3 million in county capital funds for long-awaited upgrades that will make Stillwell Field safer, more accessible and more enjoyable for all. Additionally, as a lifelong dog lover, I am pleased to see that the Town of Oyster Bay will apply a portion of those funds toward creating an inviting space for our four-legged friends and their humans to enjoy as well,” Deputy Minority Leader Drucker added.
“I will continue to work closely with local stakeholders to ensure that our investment in Stillwell Field is completed as expeditiously and efficiently as possible to deliver the long-term improvements that are being sought for this vital youth sports hub in the Syosset community,” Deputy Minority Leader Drucker concluded.
