Statement From Drucker – Taking Names Off County Signs Isn’t Partisan – It’s Good Government

(MINEOLA, N.Y.) – Following Suffolk County Executive Ed Romaine’s Thursday, Jan. 4 order removing his name from taxpayer-funded County signs, Nassau County Legislator Arnold W. Drucker (D – Plainview) issued the following statement:

“As former Nassau County Executive Laura Curran and new Suffolk County Executive Ed Romaine have demonstrated, removing your name from taxpayer-funded signs is not a partisan issue - it’s a matter of good government and putting the needs of the people you serve first,” Nassau County Legislator Arnold W. Drucker (D – Plainview) said. “In the new year, it is my hope that County Executive Blakeman will take this reality into consideration and abandon his costly self-promotional practices.”
