(WESTBURY, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislature Deputy Minority Leader Arnold W. Drucker (D – Plainview) joined with Career Day, Inc. on Wednesday, Aug. 21 for its kickoff event at Jovia Financial Credit Union in Westbury.
Launched by Executive Director Beth Bucheister in 2016, Career Day, Inc. has engaged more than 600 professionals in its programs and awarded 20 scholarships totaling $18,000. “An Evening of Connecting and Celebrating” highlighted Career Day Inc.’s accomplishments over the past school year and brought participating professionals, administrators from schools that have hosted Career, Inc., and future partners together under the same roof.
The organization is a significant part of the legacy of Beth’s late husband, Arie A. Bucheister, and the scholarships pay tribute to Arie’s lifelong dedication to serving others.
“Since its inception, Career Day, Inc.’s inspiring work has opened doors for so many local students and families, and I admire their commitment to positively impacting lives across the spectrum of diverse backgrounds and academic achievements,” Deputy Minority Leader Drucker said. “This event was a great reminder for all of us that our careers are not just measured by your personal success, but by the impact we make in our communities. Thank you to Career Day, Inc., and Beth Bucheister for your dedication to shaping the next generation of leaders!”
