(SYOSSET, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislature Deputy Minority Leader Arnold W. Drucker (D – Plainview) celebrated the grand opening of the Syosset Farmer’s Market on Saturday, May 11. Located outside the American Legion Hall at 68 Berry Hill Road in Syosset, the new weekly staple is a showcase for dozens of vendors offering fresh local produce; baked goods and prepared foods; gift items like organic soaps, wax candles, cutlery and pottery - and just in time for Mother’s Day, an assortment of beautiful flowers. The market is set to be open every Saturday through Oct. 26 from 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
“Not only do farmer’s markets bring the freshest and healthiest local produce right into our backyards, they also provide entrepreneurs with an important launching pad to elevate their businesses to new heights,” Deputy Minority Leader Drucker said. “I encourage everyone to support this wonderful new endeavor and make the Syosset Farmer’s Market a new part of your family’s Saturday morning routine.”
