(PLAINVIEW, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislature Deputy Minority Leader Arnold W. Drucker (D – Plainview) joined education leaders, his colleagues in government and the Plainview community at the Stratford Road Elementary School on Friday, Sept. 6 to celebrate the completion of the school’s new adaptive playground. The upgrade was funded through aid secured by New York State Assemblyman Steve Stern (D – Dix Hills) and spearheaded by Plainview Old-Bethpage Board of Education Trustee Ginger Lieberman.
“As a lifelong Plainview resident whose children were educated in Plainview-Old Bethpage schools and now as a grandfather, I am thrilled by this addition to the place where my I and my children went to elementary school, and I am excited about how it will ensure every young person has a place to play and explore their imaginations,” Deputy Minority Leader Drucker said. “Debuting this adaptive playground is a wonderful way to kick off the school year, and I thank Assemblyman Stern and Trustee Lieberman for their leadership in making Plainview-Old Bethpage a shining example of inclusivity.”
