Drucker Applauds Enhanced State Funding for Brookville, Muttontown, Old Westbury PDs

(MINEOLA, N.Y.) – On Monday, Aug. 19, former U.S. Congressman George Santos pleaded guilty to wire fraud and aggravated identity theft. Following today’s announcement, Nassau County Legislature Deputy Minority Leader Arnold W. Drucker (D – Plainview), a resident of the Third Congressional District where Santos was elected, issued the following statement:

“After conning his way into office, stealing from his supporters, and depriving the Third Congressional District of any semblance of dignified or effective representation for more than a year, George Santos is at last being fully held to account for his vast array of deceptions,” Nassau County Legislature Deputy Minority Leader Arnold W. Drucker (D – Plainview) said. “This outcome reinforces the bedrock American principle that no person is above the law, and I hope that it is a deterrent for those who would seek to exploit voters in the future - especially at a time when criminality is being perversely embraced in some political corners as an asset.”
