(PLAINVIEW-OLD BETHPAGE, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislature Deputy Minority Leader Arnold W. Drucker (D – Plainview) thanked the donors of 50 pints of blood who took part in his office’s Saturday, Dec. 28 blood drive at the Plainview-Old Bethpage Public Library - contributions that will be put to good use in saving more than 150 lives. For giving the gift of life, each donor received tickets to an upcoming New York Islanders home game.

“Every person who donated this weekend performed an invaluable service and helped to address our region’s stubbornly persistent blood shortage emergency,” Deputy Minority Leader Drucker said. “Their selfless actions truly embody the spirit of the holiday season, and I am so grateful to all of our donors and partners at the Plainview-Old Bethpage Library, the New York Blood Center and the New York Islanders for embracing this crucial endeavor.”
