(PLAINVIEW, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislature Deputy Minority Leader Arnold W. Drucker (D – Plainview) proudly joined the Mid Island Y JCC community on Thursday, March 13 to celebrate the long-awaited grand opening of the renowned community institution’s Universal Accessibility Ramp – a vital upgrade that greatly bolsters accessibility to the Mid Island Y for community members who are living with disabilities and ambulatory challenges.
“The Mid Island Y JCC offers an outstanding portfolio of resources and programs for people of all faiths, ethnicities and religions – and completing this vital project ensures dignified and convenient access for all who seek their services,” Deputy Minority Leader Drucker said. “Their commitment to detail and inclusivity is exactly who so many people feel like this facility is like a second, and I felt privileged to be a part of this celebration of a major milestone. Congratulations to Rick Lewis and the entire Mid Island Y JCC team for their tireless efforts in making this vision a reality!”
