WHAT: Following more than two years of advocacy on behalf of riders, Nassau County Legislator Arnold W. Drucker (D - Plainview) is pleased to announce the restoration of Saturday service on the N78 and N79 bus lines of the Nassau Inter-County Express.
Saturday bus service, which resumes on Saturday, April 27, connects Plainview, Hicksville and Woodbury residents to important destinations like Plainview Hospital, local supermarkets and the Walt Whitman Shops in neighboring Huntington Station.
Saturday service was cut during the spring of 2017 under the Mangano administration. Legislator Drucker advocated against the cuts at the time and has been a staunch proponent for restoring service. His efforts culminated with this restoration of Saturday service, which ensures the needs of concerned citizens, local business owners and their employees, and seniors who rely on buses for daily transportation and health care needs are met.
