(UNIONDALE, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Arnold W. Drucker (D – Plainview) joined with law enforcement officials and his colleagues in government at the David S. Mack Center for Training and Intelligence on Tuesday, June 6 for a police recruit graduation ceremony. Each of the 66 graduates completed seven months of intense basic training, Nassau County Police Department officials said.
Fifty of the graduates are headed to the Nassau County Police Department; the remaining 16 recruits are Nassau County Sheriffs and Floral Park, Old Westbury, Glen Cove, Lynbrook, Garden City, Port Washington and SUNY Stony Brook Police.
“Each of these graduates are an extension of the proud tradition of excellence that has helped to make Nassau County the safest municipality of its size in America,” Legislator Drucker said. “I congratulate each of the graduates and wish you safety and great success as you pursue your mission of serving and protecting the residents of Nassau County.”
