Nassau County Legislator Bill Gaylor recently presented a ceremonial check for $32,000 to the Incorporated Village of Malverne that will be used by the Malverne Fire Department to purchase 75 new two-way pagers. The funds were secured by Legislator Gaylor through a grant from the Community Revitalization Program, a project administered by the Legislature.
“I am proud to support our volunteer fire fighters who perform a vital service and continually put their lives on the line no questions asked” Gaylor said. “The pagers will help upgrade the fire department’s communication capabilities to meet federal regulations and will further assist them in performing their duties to protect the Malverne community.”
