(BALDWIN, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Debra Mulé (D – Freeport) partnered with the New York Blood Center to host a successful blood drive on Thursday, Oct. 3. Legislator Mulé joined with dozens of community members in rolling up their sleeves to give the gift of life at the blood drive, during which all donors received a $10 gift card as a token of gratitude.
“It was so heartwarming to see our community stepping up and doing their part to address Long Island’s persistent blood emergency,” Legislator Mulé said. “Their continuing generosity will go a long way toward ensuring medical professionals are always prepared to provide emergency care, and I was proud to work alongside the Baldwin Fire Department and the New York Blood Center to make a positive impact.”
