(GLEN HEAD, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Delia DeRiggi-Whitton (D - Glen Cove) joined the North Shore Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for their drive-through Thanksgiving food distribution event outside North Shore High School in Glen Head on Saturday, Nov. 21. Alongside her colleagues in government, Legislator DeRiggi-Whitton congratulated organizers and volunteers for staging a philanthropic effort that benefited scores of local families. “Confronted with tremendous need during the COVID-19 pandemic, our community has risen to the occasion time and time again,” Legislator DeRiggi-Whitton said. “The North Shore Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s efforts embody that passion for philanthropy and the true spirit of the holiday season.”
