DeRiggi-Whitton Reminds Residents to Register for Tax Exemption Workshop at The Bryant Library

WHAT: Nassau County Legislator Delia DeRiggi-Whitton (D - Glen Cove), in conjunction with the Nassau County Department of Assessment, reminds residents to register for an upcoming tax exemption workshop at The Bryant Public Library, located at 2 Paper Mill Road in Roslyn.

During the workshop, which is scheduled for 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 20, Department of Assessment staff will assist residents with filing for veteran, senior citizen, Cold War veteran, volunteer firefighter and ambulance worker, limited-income disability and/or home improvement exemptions. Enhanced STAR applications will also be processed for homeowners already enrolled in the STAR program prior to Jan. 2, 2015.

To best protect the health and safety of employees and residents, this workshop is by appointment only. Homeowners are asked to make an appointment by calling 516-571-1500 or visiting www.nassaucountyny.gov/assessment and using the appointment scheduler link.
