(PORT WASHINGTON, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislature Minority Leader Delia DeRiggi-Whitton (D – Glen Cove) proudly sponsored the Residents Forward Youth Summit. During the daylong Saturday, March 29 event, Minority Leader DeRiggi-Whitton joined Dr. Sarah Meyland - the Minority Caucus representative on the Long Island Coalition for Aquifer Protection - USGS Program Development Director Brian Schneider, and Dan Yannaccone, Associate Principal of MNLA, for the “Water Vision - Creating a Resilient Future for Our Drinking Water” workshop.
“There is no more significant issue facing Nassau County than the purity and sustainability of our drinking water supply, and the young advocates at Residents Forward’s Youth Summit will be the ones who will lead the way,” Minority Leader DeRiggi-Whitton said. “It was a privilege to once again sponsor this fantastic event, and I applaud Mindy Germain and Residents Forward for another great Youth Summit. Thank you to Dr. Sarah Meyland, Brian Schneider and Dan Yannaccone for sharing their expertise with these impressive young leaders!”
