WHAT - To help young students have a strong start to the 2024-25 school year, Nassau County Legislature Minority Leader Delia DeRiggi-Whitton (D - Glen Cove) is partnering with the Nassau County Police Benevolent Association (PBA) to host a backpack giveaway event outside Glen Cove High School at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 22. The Nassau County PBA is supplying the backpacks and supplies, and the event is being presented with local support and assistance from the Glen Cove PBA.
