(MINEOLA and GLEN COVE, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Delia DeRiggi-Whitton (D - Glen Cove) was sworn in to serve her fifth two-year term representing the 11th Legislative District during the induction of the 13th Nassau County Legislature on Monday, Jan. 13.
Legislator DeRiggi-Whitton, pictured above with, from left, her father Hon. Donald P. DeRiggi, former Mayor of the City of Glen Cove; her mother Dr. Mildred DeRiggi; and husband Richard Valicenti, represents Sands Point, Port Washington, Roslyn, Roslyn Harbor, Glen Head, Glenwood Landing, Sea Cliff and Glen Cove. New York State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli administered the oath of office to Legislator DeRiggi-Whitton and her colleagues in the Minority Legislative Caucus.
“I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to once again serve the residents of the 11th Legislative District,” Legislator DeRiggi-Whitton said. “I remain committed protecting our environmental treasures, preserving our quality of life, and ensuring Nassau County’s government operates efficiently and ethically. Working together, I am confident we will achieve these goals in the coming months and years.”
