(UNIONDALE, N.Y.) - RXR Plaza became Santa’s satellite workshop on Sunday, Dec. 1 thanks to the generosity of hundreds of Toys for Tots supporters from across Long Island.
Donors contributed more than 55,000 toys during the drive, which was inaugurated by Joe LaPadula and Jon Holzer of Martino Auto Concepts. The annual undertaking has grown to become one of the nation’s largest Toys for Tots collection drives and features an exotic sportscar showcase that delights casual admirers and motorsports enthusiasts alike.
“Year after year, Major Chuck Kilbride, the United States Marine Corps, Joe LaPaduala and John Holzer undertake a Herculean effort to make the holidays brighter for families in Nassau County and across the region,” Legislator DeRiggi-Whitton said. “When our community comes together, amazing things can happen, and I am delighted to support an effort that brings out the best in all of us.”
Additional sponsors of Sunday’s Toys for Tots drive include: the Experience Auto Group, the Nassau County Police Department, the U.S. Marine Corps, the American Academy of Hospitality Services, Gabrielli Truck Sales, RXR Realty, Sudz Corp., Exotics 4 Life, the First City Project and others.
