[ARCHIVED] DeRiggi-Whitton Partners with Dr. Stephen T. Greenberg and Dr. Eve Lupenko for Skin Cancer Screening

WHAT: Nassau County Legislator Delia DeRiggi-Whitton (D - Glen Cove) is partnering with Dr. Stephen T. Greenberg and Dr. Eve Lupenko to provide free skin cancer screenings at the Glen Cove Senior Center on Friday, Sept. 29.

According to experts, skin cancers are the most common type of cancer, and the American Cancer Society estimates that 5.4 million cases of basal and squamous skin cancers are diagnosed each year.

“Skin examinations should be part of everyone’s annual health care routine, especially as we grow older and have concerns about a lifetime of sun exposure,” Legislator DeRiggi-Whitton said. “Regardless of your age, gender or background, skin cancer is a real concern, and everyone should take advantage of this opportunity. I thank Dr. Greenberg and Dr. Lupenko for sharing their expertise and working so diligently to improve skin health in our community.”

Screenings are available by appointment only. Call Lisa at 516-364-8200 and mention that you would like to participate in the free screening. For additional information, contact Legislator DeRiggi-Whitton’s office at 516-571-6211 or dderiggiwhitton@nassaucountyny.gov.
