(GLEN COVE, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislature Minority Leader Delia DeRiggi-Whitton (D – Glen Cove) proudly joined the Sikh community at the 18th Grand Glen Cove Mela at Gurdwara Mata Sahib Kaur on Sunday, Sept. 8 – an event filled with free vegetarian food from local restaurants, games, giveaways and more. “We are so grateful to have Gurdwara Mata Sahib Kaur as part of the Glen Cove community, and events like their 18th Grand Mela are just one example of how much the local Sikh community contributes to Nassau County’s vibrant cultural diversity,” Minority Leader DeRiggi-Whitton said. “It was a pleasure to join them for this wonderful celebration and I look forward to many more!”
