(VALLEY STREAM, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Carrié Solages (D – Valley Stream) is encouraging interested residents to sign up to become members of the Nassau County Auxiliary Police Department.
Since 1950, thousands of men and women have served Nassau County with pride and distinction as members of their local Auxiliary Police Department. Within Legislative District 3, volunteers are being sought from the communities of Elmont, Valley Stream, South Valley Stream, North Valley Stream, and South Floral Park for service in the 4th and 5th Precincts.
“Our auxiliary police officers are indispensable partners in fulfilling a community focused approach to law enforcement that keeps us safe,” Legislator Solages said. “If you have been seeking an opportunity to give back and get involved, I encourage you to reach out to the leaders of the Nassau County Auxiliary Police to learn more about how you can be a part of this rewarding public service program!”
Interested residents can contact the Recruit Hotline at 516-573-5512 or NRosenblatt@PDCN.org for more information.
