(INWOOD, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Carrié Solages (D - Lawrence) thanked the Manna Project for hosting a pop-up Food Pantry and Back-to-School Drive at St. John’s Baptist Church in Inwood on Saturday, Aug. 28. Legislator Solages presented a Nassau County Legislature Citation to the leaders of The Manna Project, a new food pantry that recently embarked upon its efforts to serve Inwood and its neighboring communities.
Upcoming Manna Project pop-up food pantries are scheduled for Saturdays, Sept. 25, Oct. 9 and Oct. 23 at St. John’s Baptist Church
“Organizations like the Manna Project have been instrumental in our regional efforts to address increases in economic uncertainty and food insecurity throughout the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic,” Legislator Solages said. “At a time when the need has been so great, we are grateful for their tireless efforts to bring comfort to our community.
