The following is a statement from Nassau County Legislator Carrié Solages (D – Valley Stream) –

“I know our communities will not forget all those who died or were injured from the devastating earthquake in Haiti in 2010,” Nassau County Legislator Carrié Solages (D – Valley Stream) said. “I also thank the Long Island community for coming together to help Haiti in its time of need. Rest in power all those who died in this natural disaster and in the many others we see around the world.”

Solages became the first Haitian American to serve on the Legislature when he was elected to represent the Third Legislative District in 2011.
