(MINEOLA, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Carrié Solages (D – Valley Stream) was sworn for a new term representing the residents of the Third Legislative District during inaugural ceremonies held on Friday, Jan. 5. The newly reapportioned Third Legislative District encompasses the communities of Elmont, Valley Stream, and South Floral Park.
With his family, including New York State Assemblywoman Michaelle Solages, looking on, Legislator Solages and his Minority Caucus colleagues were sworn in by former Nassau County Legislature Minority Leader Kevan M. Abrahams.
“As I enter a new term of serving the residents of Nassau County’s Third District, I do so with tremendous gratitude for the trust they have placed in me and a renewed passion for meeting the needs of my constituents,” Legislator Solages said. “I am proud to be working alongside Minority Leader Delia DeRiggi-Whitton and my colleagues, and I am looking forward to being a voice for the people of this County in our efforts to reduce the cost of living, keep our roads safe, preserve our environment, and invest in a brighter future for our children.”
