(ELMONT, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Carrié Solages (D – Valley Stream) partnered with ICNA Relief, the Elmont Memorial PTSA and Muslims for Humanity to host a winter apparel giveaway at Elmont Memorial High School on Saturday, Feb. 8. During the event, community leaders joined forces to distribute free winter coats, blankets, and other items to families and community members in need.
“The desire to give back is a force that brings people of all ages, all faiths and all walks of life together – and the success of our winter giveaway at Elmont High School was a beautiful example of that unity in action,” Legislator Solages said. “I thank this outstanding team of partners for coming together to make a difference in our community and extending a helping hand to deserving local families in their hour of need.”
