WHAT: Nassau County Legislator Arnold W. Drucker (D – Plainview) is partnering with Nassau University Medical Center to bring the mammography van to Plainview on Thursday, March 31. Aboard the van, which will be stationed in the parking lot of the Jamaica Avenue School, women over the age of 40 who have not had a mammography within a year or longer will be able to receive mammograms with zero out-of-pocket cost.
Appointments are required. Attendees with health insurance must provide a prescription from their physician and film from past exams. Women with health insurance may be required to make a co-payment. All participants will be required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and observe current CDC COVID-19 prevention guidelines.
