Nassau County Legislator Judy Jacobs and State Assemblyman Chuck Lavine attended Jericho School District’s School Board Recognition night held at the Jericho Middle School on Thursday, October 23rd. According to Jacobs, the evening was very special with young people from the District speaking about their outstanding involvement in class and in their extracurricular activities. Art students from the District presented their special art work to each individual Board member, while Jacobs and Lavine presented proclamations to all the Board members praising their phenomenal work in the outstanding Jericho School District. Jacobs said, "I was completely surprised when the Superintendent of Schools Hank Grishman and the School Board presented proclamations to both me and Assemblyman Lavine in recognition of our ongoing support for the District. I was so moved and mentioned to all that it truly is a pleasure to be certain that we know the priorities in life, our children. I also added that I am much better giving proclamations than receiving them. It was truly a special evening for everyone involved.”
