WHAT – Nassau County Legislature Deputy Minority Leader Arnold W. Drucker (D - Plainview) is partnering with the Nassau County Office of Emergency Management (OEM) to host an Emergency Preparedness Workshop at the Syosset Public Library on the morning of Wednesday, Nov. 20. The workshops are designed to teach residents how to prepare for any type of natural or man-made disaster so that they can respond and recover as quickly as possible.
“As severe weather of all kinds becomes more frequent and treacherous amidst the growing threat of climate change, it is more important than ever to be prepared to respond to emergencies and sudden disasters,” Deputy Minority Leader Drucker said. “Nassau OEM’s presentation is filled with vital tips and strategies for protecting and preparing your family, and I encourage everyone who is interested in attending to RSVP today. Thank you to everyone at OEM and the Syosset Public Library for working with us to make this critical event possible.”
Because capacity is limited, pre-registration is recommended. For additional information and to RSVP, contact Deputy Minority Leader Drucker’s office at 516-571-6216 or adrucker@nassaucountyny.gov.
