[ARCHIVED] Legislator Drucker Supports ‘Rally for Rebecca 5K Run-Walk-Roll’

A ‘Help Hope Live’ Benefit for of Plainview Resident Rebecca KoltunDrucker - Rally for Rebecca 1

(PLAINVIEW, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Arnold W. Drucker (D - Plainview) joined community members, supporters and friends of 22-year-old Plainview resident Rebecca Koltun at Plainview-Old Bethpage Middle School on Saturday, May 28 for the Rally for Rebecca 5K Walk-Run-Roll. 

Last year, Rebecca was paralyzed from the neck down in a tragic ski accident. All proceeds from the event will go to nonprofit Help Hope Live to offset medical and living expenses not covered by Rebecca’s insurance or Medicaid.  

Event sponsors include Terri Miller, PT, Ph.D. and Arthur Miller, DDS; United Spinal Association; Family Bagel of Plainview; Minuteman Press of Syosset; Mid Island Y JCC; Chesney, Nicholas & Brower LLP; Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices/Laffey International Realty; Northwell Health Rehabilitation Network; and Robin and Jonathan Eiseman.

“We are all tremendously gratified by the outpouring of support that we witnessed for Rebecca Koltun, whose indomitable spirit is an inspiration to all of us,” Legislator Drucker said. “I applaud the organizers of this event and the entire Plainview community for once again demonstrating their unwavering commitment to Rebecca and her family.”
