(JERICHO, N.Y.) - Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Nassau County’s first responders and healthcare professionals courageously fulfilled their commitment to serving and protecting the public. To recognize their hard work and dedication, Nassau County Legislators Arnold W. Drucker (D - Plainview) and Joshua Lafazan (Woodbury) presented Commissioner Brian Kenny, Firefighter Robert Betman, and the members of the Jericho Fire Department with Nassau County Legislature Citations and COVID-19 Caregiver pins as tokens of their appreciation.
“At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Jericho Fire Department volunteers and first responders across Nassau County and the nation never wavered when they were called upon to provide critical support to our residents,” Legislator Drucker said. “Honoring these courageous first responders for their unwavering commitment was a truly gratifying experience.”
“Time and again throughout the pandemic, our first responders went above and beyond the call of duty in their efforts to keep residents safe,” Legislator Lafazan said. “It is always a privilege to recognize the members of the Jericho Fire Department for their bravery and recognize the spirit of selfless service that inspires them to rush toward danger on a daily basis.”
