Legislator Drucker Joins Forces with Manetto Hill Jewish Center, Community Partners to Support Food & Recycling Drive
(PLAINVIEW, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Arnold W. Drucker (D - Plainview) is joining forces with the Manetto Hill Jewish Center, the MHJC Sisterhood, New York State Assembly Member Charles D. Lavine and the Plainview branch of Ridgewood Savings Bank to host a food and recycling drive in support of the Mid-Island Y JCC’s Rudman Family Food Pantry.
From 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 28 and Sunday, March 14, supporters can drop off donations of non-perishable food and personal care items in the parking lot of the Manetto Hill Jewish Center, located at 244 Manetto Hill Road, Plainview, N.Y. 11803. Donated recyclables will be redeemed, and the proceeds from those deposits will be used to buy additional supplies for local families in need.
“As a lifetime Plainview resident, I have always taken great pride in the giving spirit that has thrived in our community for generations,” Legislator Drucker said. “I am delighted to work alongside the Manetto Hill Jewish Center and this wonderful, growing team of community leaders and organizations to support the Rudman Family Food Pantry in their efforts to bring relief to deserving local families that are facing hard times during the COVID-19 pandemic.”
