(QUEENS, N.Y.) – The following is a statement from Nassau County Legislator Carrié Solages (D – Lawrence) –
“Nearly three years ago, my constituent, a former student leader from the St. Boniface R.C. Church youth group in Elmont, informed me that his cousin Kimani Foster was one of the three people who were killed in a tragic crash in Queens on Oct. 6, 2020. After nearly three years, the driver was apprehended and will now face trial for aggravated vehicular manslaughter and several other serious charges,” Nassau County Legislator Carrié Solages (D – Lawrence) said. “Although the incident occurred outside of my jurisdiction, I will never hesitate to speak out on behalf of my constituents in their hour of need. We are all gratified that an arrest has finally been made, and we will continue to pray for justice and closure for the friends and loved ones of Kimani Foster and all the victims of this horrific crash.”
