(WEEHAWKEN, N.J.) - Nassau County Legislator Carrié Solages (D - Lawrence) proudly joined his colleagues in government at the 2023 National Haitian American Elected Officials Network leadership retreat, which was held in Weehawken, N.J. from Friday, Jan. 27 through Sunday, Jan. 29.
The National Haitian American Elected Officials Network (NHAEON) is a 501(c)(3) and a nonpartisan coalition of elected and appointed officials that engages in the education, empowerment, and political process to amplify the voice of the Haitian-American community.
“Across the nation, NHAEON members work tirelessly to promote civic engagement, equality, equity and social justice in the communities that we are so blessed to serve,” Legislator Solages said. “It was truly a pleasure to spend the weekend with so many community leaders that share a deep commitment to the principles of community service.”
