Today’s Vote to Approve Nassau Community College Budget
“Nassau Community College’s budget is reflective of the unprecedented economic challenges that so many institutions are grappling with amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. We appreciate the College’s commitment to preserving its level of academic excellence and continuing the Aspires and Achilles programs at a time when a nearly 11-percent year-to-year cut in spending is being implemented,” Nassau County Legislature Minority Leader Kevan M. Abrahams (D - Freeport) said on Monday, June 29.
“We will continue to closely monitor developments in the upcoming fiscal year to ensure Nassau Community College is positioned to provide students with the high-quality, individualized services that make it such a valuable and respected institution of higher education."
