(FREEPORT, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Kevan Abrahams (D – Freeport) is partnering with Island Harvest to sponsor a virtual online tax-deductible donation drive to support our seniors and veterans in need of vital goods during the COVID-19 pandemic. During this virtual fundraising effort, you don’t have to roll up your sleeves to help, you don’t have to leave your home to help, and you don’t have to be wealthy to help. No donation is too big or too small.
Throughout the years, Island Harvest has partnered with Legislator Abrahams office to help end hunger and reduce food waste on Long Island.
“Across Long Island, our veterans and seniors are facing financial hardships and food insecurities due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and Island Harvest is working tirelessly to ensure Nassau County residents have access to food,” Legislator Abrahams said. “Your support will help Island Harvest continue to fulfill its mission of serving local families in their time of need.”
