(FREEPORT, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Kevan Abrahams (D – Freeport) is partnering with Long Island Cares to sponsor a virtual (online tax-deductible donation) food and supply drive to support local families in need of vital goods during the COVID-19 pandemic. This virtual supply drive allows residents to shop from their homes to purchase essential supplies such as food, soap, diapers and more for local families who have been deeply affected by the COVID-19 crisis.
Throughout the years, Long Island Cares has partnered with Legislator Abrahams office to help provide a variety of vital services to assist individuals challenged by hunger, homelessness and poverty through awareness, actions and philanthropy.
“Across Long Island, many families are facing financial hardships and food insecurities due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and Long Island Cares is working tirelessly to ensure Nassau County residents have access to food and other essential goods,” Legislator Abrahams said. “Your support will help Long Island Cares continue to fulfill its mission of serving local families in their time of need.”
