Statement from Nassau County Legislature Minority Leader Kevan M. Abrahams in Support of March Against Anti-Semitism
(MINEOLA, N.Y.) - Thousands of Long Islanders, including religious leaders, elected officials and citizens, joined forces for the Long Island March Against Anti-Semitism on Sunday, Jan. 12. The march was one of the bi-county Task Force Against Anti-Semitism and Symbols of Hate’s inaugural initiatives.
“Today, thousands of Nassau County’s spiritual leaders, elected officials and citizens upheld their civic and moral duty by coming together to denounce anti-Semitism,” Nassau County Legislature Minority Leader Kevan M. Abrahams (D - Freeport) said. “Energized by this unity, I am confident that we will continue to find the courage to confront hatred whenever it emerges. Let this march be a catalyst for positive change as we continue our pursuit of justice and equality.”
