(ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) proudly attended the Backyard Players & Friends’ Oktoberfest fundraiser at the St. Agnes Parish Center on Saturday, Sept. 28.
Following the credo of “inclusion inspires creativity,” Backyard Players & Friends is an inclusive, arts-based community program for participants ages 14 and older that seeks to give every person a space to share ideas and experience openness, joy and creativity.
“Backyard Players & Friends is all about fostering a spirit of inclusion and celebrating diversity as a strength, and we all witnessed the beauty of that philosophy at their Oktoberfest event,” Legislator Davis said. “It was wonderful to see the community out celebrating the season and supporting this wonderful organization.”
