(BALDWIN, N.Y.) Nassau County Legislator Kevan M. Abrahams (D - Freeport) partnered with Bethpage Federal Credit Union and Glory House Recovery, Inc. to host a “Trunk or Treat” family Halloween celebration on Saturday, Oct. 29.
The event was graced by the presence of young superheroes, mermaids, princesses and first responders who visited the Baldwin train station for an afternoon of “trunk-or-treating” in the parking lot. Hundreds of youngsters across Nassau County received candy and other sweet treats from residents who decked out their cars in decorations for the occasion. Participants also got a chance to vote for the best decorated car.
“It was wonderful to see that so many young people and their families came from across the County to get into the spooky spirit of the Halloween season,” Legislator Abrahams said. “Thank you to Bethpage Federal Credit Union, Glory House Recovery, Inc., the Nassau County Police Explorers and all of our sponsors and supporters for partnering with us to make our latest Trunk or Treat celebration a safe and enjoyable event for all who joined us!”
