WHAT - Nassau County Legislator Kevan M. Abrahams (D - Freeport) is partnering with NuHealth and the Uniondale Public Library to host a breast cancer screening event on Thursday, August 4. Appointments include a breast exam from a nurse, a mammography, and self-exam instructions.
Mammograms will be available for eligible women over the age of 40 at no out-of-pocket cost; attendees with health insurance must provide a prescription from a physician. Anyone who can obtain them should bring film from past exams.
Appointments are required. Register by visiting https://www.uniondalelibrary.org and clicking the green “programs” box on the right-hand side of the page.
