(ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y.) – On Super Bowl Sunday, Nassau County Legislator Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) partnered with the Incorporated Village of Rockville Centre, the Rockville Centre Fire Department, Rockville Centre PBA, American Legion Post 303 and the Rockville Centre Chamber of Commerce to support Operation ReSupply with a successful food, toiletry and clothing drive at Associated of Rockville Centre.
Spearheaded by Nassau Detective Association Sergeant at Arms Joe Philbin, Operation ReSupply was launched to support first responders and military families affected by the devastating California wildfires – and Rockville Centre came through, packing a van with donations in support of the cause.
“It was heartwarming to see so many of our Rockville Centre neighbors giving back so generously to the first responder and military families who experienced such tremendous devastation during the California wildfires,” Legislator Davis said. “For friends that stopped by for a quick contribution or neighbors that donated sentimental clothing from loved ones that recently passed, know your gifts will make a difference to those in need. Operation ReSupply and Det. Joe Philbin have been an inspiration for this and have done fantastic during the last month to support our frontline heroes.”
